Indigo Golf Partners Signature Selected to Manage Kinston Country Club

(KINSTON, N.C.) – Indigo Golf Partners – the highly respected and innovative manager of nearly 150 golf courses, country clubs and resorts in 29 states – has been selected to operate Kinston Country Club in Kinston, North Carolina under their private club management, Indigo Golf Partners Signature.

For the country club, Indigo Golf Partners will facilitate clubhouse operations, golf course maintenance, marketing and sales, staffing and training, merchandising, golf instruction and financial management. The club will serve as a community asset delivering great golf experiences, as well as activities such as tennis, aquatics and junior programs. Under Indigo Golf Partners' leadership, both golf and non-golf programming will be central to Kinston’s mission moving forward.

“Indigo Golf Partners' marketing expertise will help grow and attract new members interested in everything we have to offer,” says Chip Harris, Indigo Golf Partners regional director of operations. “Kinston Country Club looks forward to continuing to exceed members expectations by enhancing the overall experience for everyone who visits Kinston.”

Opened in 1924, Kinston Country Club was originally meant to be a place in the “country” where members could have a permanent picnic area for eating and fraternizing. It was not until 1931 when legendary golf course architect Ellis Maples designed the original 9-hole layout. Now, the well-respected championship course hosts numerous professional and amateur tournaments each year.

“Country clubs are not what they used be 20, 10, or even 5 years ago,” says Danielle Hopper, Indigo Golf Partners regional director of sales and marketing. “Under Indigo Golf Partners' leadership, there will be more focus on maximizing time spent at the club. Both traditional golf and new alternatives will be essential to growing a vibrant and positive community.”

In 2019, Indigo Golf Partners celebrates its 30th anniversary of building and refining the strongest operating platform in golf. Kinston Country Club is just over one hour southeast of Raleigh and is the first Indigo Golf Partners Signature course in the state of North Carolina.
